About Bonnie

I am a mother of four and a proud grandmother of eight (better known as “BonBon”). Two of my children I birthed at home. One of those was a VBAC. Two were C-sections. They each got breast fed for a year. They were healthy, thriving children, and are now healthy, thriving adults having children of their own! My wide range of personal experience helps me relate to the labor/birth experience on a broad spectrum. As a long-time homeschool veteran, I am well acquainted with home management and especially committed to achieving a wholesome atmosphere in the home.

One of my favorite birth stories is a hospital birth. I became a doula to a good friend who desired to have a drug-free, natural labor. With gentle, focused coaching we worked together through each contraction and she was able to stick to her plan to have a drug-free labor. When she ended up in the pushing stage for an extended time, but baby’s heartbeat remained strong, she stayed with me and did not succumb to the pressure of a C-section. She was rewarded with a perfectly natural birth. It was a beautiful experience that made her confidence soar. This confidence led to success with future births. When again she asked me to attend her second birth, baby came so quickly she barely made it to the hospital in time and while glad for her, I was sad for me as I missed out completely!

I love to serve people. In addition to serving my own family as a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom for 23 years, I have five years of experience in caregiving for the elderly. For over two years I served as a personal chef for a lady who had to be on a strict gluten-free diet. Having always been interested in wholesome living, I also have eight years of experience working retail in a health food store where I gained all kinds of practical experience on that subject.

I am very fit and energetic with loads of life experience! I’ve lived in Texas all my life and most of it in East Texas. I love my home and my people and look forward to serving you in the East Texas area!
